Graphic Design, Edinburgh, UK

I graduated in 1988 and initially worked as a freelance graphic designer with the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and a range of small arts organisations. In 1989 I joined Hamlin Design as a junior designer and worked on a number of small to medium sized projects, in the main for corporate/commercial clients.

In 1991, I joined McColl (soon to become BDG McColl) to run graphic design projects in their Edinburgh office. At this time, much of my work was commercial property marketing, culminating in development of the campaign to sell Glasgow's central post office building. As well as property marketing, my work included identity and branding, corporate publications, signing and exhibitions.
