Graphic Design, London, UK

In 1995 I relocated from BDG McColl's office in Edinburgh to its London headquarters, where I rose from Associate to Head of the Graphics Team (1996). I led graphics/communications specific projects, as well as heading up the graphics/communications aspect of larger multidisciplinary projects combining with BDG McColl's architectural and interior design teams.

As well as continuing to develop my design skills in the fields of identity/branding, corporate communications, environmental design and internal communications programmes, I also acquired such additional support skills as project management, team management, business development, budget management and financial reporting (directly to the CEO, financial director and the board).

In 1998, I left BDG McColl to work freelance as a graphic designer and communications consultant. At this time, my core clients were corporate, including Andersen Consulting, Banner McBride (working for TNT) and DEGW. I continued to work with BDG McColl as a consultant.
