The first venture into restaurants, for the high society caterers Searcy's at the Barbican Centre in London, required an identity that linked with the past and looked to the future.

Identity

We took their original logo and replaced it's apostrophe with a bay leaf to reflect their chef, Richard Corrigan's commitment to things fresh and flavourful, mixing traditional British ingredients with modern techniques and flavour combinations.

The leaf theme stays for the wine list, but the leaf changes to a vine leaf, for obvious reasons. Inside, the close up shot thus changes to grapes.

The styling of the restaurant interior, with its jewel coloured seat pads and bold, graphic look, influenced the styling of the leaflet produced to promote the restaurant around the Barbican and surrounding area.
